Day 20, Thursday,   It is hot, hot, hot! Don't let anybody tell you that this is better than our summers. We're told it's the monsoon season, so that's the reason for the humidity...ugh! Drove to Sedona AZ, walked through some great art shops; found a fountain that reminded us of our "rock" tour, will get it online so we don't have to cart it around. Decided not to spend the night in Sedona, so headed to Laughlin NV. We passed desolate areas that were our gifts to the Indians...it's no wonder these peaceful people were willing to go to war to keep themselves from this fate! The smoke hangs in the air from all the forest fires that are burning. We arrived in Laughlin about 8 PM and head to the Edgewater Hotel (AAA says it's a good deal). We keep seeing "rooms from $19", and being cynical, figure there are probably three at that price; but, surprise!!!, that's the rate. We check in, have our $6.99 Prime Rib Buffet, than Lynn dropped $50 in NICKELS in two hours. Guess what? The evening cost us the same as everywhere else...BUT we did have the POSSIBILITY of winning, didn't we?? On to L.A. tomorrow to visit our folks (and Farbod)! Write!!!
