Days 28, 29, 30 Fri. / Sat. / Sun  Well, here's the deal...Napa and Sonoma are beautiful in their own rights(miles and miles of grapes!), but you can't take a picture of a taste of wine; so the number of pics for those days are few. However, the experiences (not photographical) were many. We happened on a Friday night todo called the "Chef's Special" (a street fair held during the summer ) that was great fun. We asked about it and were told that it is the "ONLY" thing that goes on in Napa, so everybody comes out for it. Calistoga, with it's many spas and hot springs, is a place to return to; Ukiah, where we stopped for the night, has seen better days. Craig did a 2.5 mile walk of the town EARLY in the morning and saw the "redwood tree gas station" and a hotel that has "lots of potential" (except that it's been boarded up and windows left open for SEVERAL years. ) We decided to take the "scenic route" to Mendecino; what a great ride if we only had a sportscar!!! It was a problem going 30mph...so many twists and turns and ups and downs; Craig ultimately thought it may have been better to stop at Six Flags for the rollercoasters ;-)!! A side trip to Ferndale (closed for the evening, we'll have to go back), finally arrived in Eureka. We'll do some antique window shopping tomorrow before we head North; we are feeling like a horse heading to the barn!!
