7/ 14 /00 page 1 of 3 pages covering Yellowstone Day 7, Friday, Rise and shine early to get on the road to Yellowstone. Don, the innkeeper, tells us to go via the NE entrance...prettier drive and less road work going on. That'll do fine for us. There is so much to see even before we get to the entrance, we have a hard time believing that we'll make it to Jackson WY tonight. Craig took 113 pics and I finished 2 rolls of film. Elk, deer, mule deer, bison, and bear...all within the reach of our lens (osprey, too...though not to be seen). Beautiful yellow stoned canyons, blue rivers, limestone domes of fantastic heights, waterfalls (and a walk to see one that almost killed me!!!! down was fine, but up was the pits) Finally made it to Old Faithful at 7:30pm and decided to see the Teton's by day...we were able to get accommodations at Grant Valley at the south end on Yellowstone Lake (impressed that we are not being $$$ gouged). All in all, a VERY fine day! We are sharing 24 pictures of Yellowstone.
