7/ 21 /00 Day 14, Friday(7/21) Busy day. Off to Garden of the Gods...instead of the rocks emerging up like mountains, they came up sideways in odd places so the strata is vertical rather than horizontal. Interesting! We then drove to the Cave of the Winds and took the tour; much smaller than Carlsbad Caverns, but somewhat more "real" feeling. On our way back to town, we took a side road that brought us to some very nice real estate and then to the beginning of a dirt road that would take us back to Colorado Springs with some great views. A real "adventure"! We stayed at a great B&B...I think that B&B's are the way to go. Price is good, rooms are very homey and breakfast to boot!!
